I've toyed with the idea of writing about the mooncup on Musings but having so far given up on that idea thought I'd go for the slightly less controversial moonbasket instead. I discovered these guys on DtoI (as with most things) and am desperately thinking of ways I can get two of their lampshades into my home and covering my bare naked light bulbs PRONTO. Any suggestions??

Denim desires
I'm still a one chair household. ok two technically but only one has a cushion. and believe me, they need cushions.
It's been 3 months - time for a couch!
This denim one caught my eye whilst scrolling DtoI (this will forever be my abbreviation of Desire to Inspire). It reminds me of my perfect man - big and strong, yet cosy and humble - with a slight quirk.
Never in my wildest did I think I'd actually FIND a denim covered delight but as i was strolling through Spiral charity shop this afternoon I was stopped in my tracks by A DENIM COVERED DELIGHT. So fingers crossed that the lovely gentleman who does steam cleaning for the shop gives me the thumbs up for removal of the GINORMOUS stains on both arms and then, this Saturday I will own a faded denim couch!! No matter that my real perfect man doesn't like denim (on couches) - he is currently, well, not here, so denim couch it is! Whoo hoo!!

Emma Watson for People Tree
Ok so we've heard that girl-of-the moment Emma Watson was collaborating with fair trade fashion giant People Tree for SS2010 but I did not expect to want to whip out my credit card this much when the collection finally launched! Young, fresh and sporty - the collection is a celebration of all things english and uhhhh, public school although I have a feeling it nods in the direction of Hogwarts rather than Eton. Check out my wishlist below:

Desire to Inspir(ed) - thanks girls!
Seeing as I officially moved in today (running-round-the-house-screaming happy) I thought I would share a few of the images that inspired the renovation of my flat. (There are about 1000 more - I might bore you with them later!) Although the finishing touches are yet to be made - I am still missing a door or two - I am so inspired by the modern looks that can be created using vintage, antique and second hand finds. As my entire flat is white and wood I am uber excited to get creative with colour. Will post the results.

Lina Rennell "Sheepskins"
I'm funny about fur and as a strict meat avoider have often found myself in a fuddle over whether the two vintage sheepskins on my floor are acceptable (I also have leather shoes and accessories - it's a toughie). I have always believed that vintage or antique furs and leathers are o.k. and that if an animal is killed for food then nothing should be wasted thus rendering leather o.k. for me to wear. I also have nothing against people eating meat who have raised and killed an animal themselves and make use of every part of the animal. So yes, the debate continues in my head. Anyway the whole point of all this animal-talk is that I have found the perfect compromise to my sheepskin dilemma.
Bring on Beklina who directed my attention to Lina Rennell's ingenious invention. Her faux sheepskin throws - which fuse undyed organic wool onto an organic cotton backing - are a dead ringer for the real deal. Seeing as I'm finally moving into my flat tomorrow (hurrah!!!) one of these (the largest one please!) is definitely making its way onto my birthday/Christmas list.
More on Lina here.
